The Ronquières inclined plane

At the Ronquières inclined plane, which is visible from at least 10 kilometres away in all directions, you can enjoy a vast panorama, as well as touring the “One Boat, One Life” experience, dedicated to the theme of canal transport. On the technical side, the main attraction is clearly the inclined plane itself (two “boat tanks” on wheels that move up and down a 1,500 metre-long slope spanning a height difference of nearly 70 metres). A great technical achievement and a remarkable example of the use of concrete in architecture.
